Steve Kerr may have to consider giving to the often-derived Jonathan Cuminga a few key minutes before the Warriors’ Game 7 against Rocket.

With what might feel like nightmares are repeated, the Golden State Warriors have found themselves in Game 7 after rising 3-1 in the playoff series.

The Houston Rockets entered Chase Center and stole Game 6 and completely wiped out the Warriors in the fourth quarter.

The star that stood out in the game was Jonathan Cuminga. He got a few minutes temporarily in the absence of Jimmy Butler. Cuminga managed to impress Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr.

However, after Butler returned, he returned to the bench with no play time. It could be set to change as the warriors may head towards him in despair.

After the Game 6 loss, Steve Kerr was asked about Jonathan Cuminga’s potential return to the starting lineup.

Steve Kerr said without hesitation that Kuminga is absolutely considering Game 7. He explained why Kuminga was dropped in favor of a system that had worked up until this series, and how he was open to changing that formula.

“Yeah (Kuminga) is 100% on the table. I found the formula later in the season.”

“We stayed in that formula to start the series and we’re clearly going 3-1. Things were going well. And obviously, in the last few games, we’ve come very poorly.”

“You need to evaluate everything and lineup combinations, starters, etc. You need to evaluate everything. You need to go there and feel like you have a good opportunity to win Game 7.

In the 7-Game Series, players play familiar to their opponents when they are on the court every night. Engagement does not produce light empty in basketball, but creates understanding and benefits.

But this is Jonathan Cuminga’s difference. The Rockets didn’t have to play much with Kuminga as Kerr chose to keep him away if Butler was available.

If Kerr included Kuminga in his lineup, he could have a big impact on the warriors. However, this move also carries risks.

With his minutes running out, Cuminga could get lost, and Boogie Cousins believes it has already happened. And this head loss could cost the Warriors a key game 7.
