Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has one of the most stacked resumes of all time.

Despite being his 50th overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft, Steve Kerr carved out a decent career as a player. After all, he understood his role as an elite three-point shooter.

This allowed Carr to win three NBA championships in two NBA championships led by Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls and the San Antonio Spurs.

However, even after retiring in 2003, Kerr quickly returned to the NBA, albeit in a different role.

The fatal three-point shooter won a job in 2007 as general manager of the Phoenix Suns. Considering that the Suns drafted him, it was no surprise that Kerr was back in Phoenix.

In three years as an executive, the Suns went 155-91 during the regular season. They also made two postseasons without winning the NBA Championship.

However, it was clear that being an executive wasn’t the ideal job for Kerr. Certainly, he tried to trade for Stephen Curry in the 2009 draft night, but Kerr was destined to become head coach.

Well, in 2014, the Golden State Warriors chose Kerr as their new head coach after saying goodbye to Mark Jackson.

In his first season with the Warriors, Kerr led the Dub to the 2015 NBA Championship. In fact, the Warriors had won three NBA championships by 2018.

Kerr is the head coach of the 73-9 warriors, so don’t forget that his name is etched into history. Naturally, he was named NBA Coach of the Year that season.

Kerr’s Warriors again played the NBA Finals in 2019 despite losing to the Toronto Raptors.

After a dream five years of running, Coach Kerr received his first loss campaign, as he finished with a 15-50 record during the 2019-20 season.

Despite facing rage over the next few years, Kerr and the Warriors were once again NBA champions in 2022.

Today, Kerr is the highest-paid NBA coach, withdrawing a salary of $17.5 million a year. He also found his name on the list of the NBA’s best 15 coaches of all time.
