Manchester United reportedly emerged as a front runner for the potential signature of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semeño this summer.
Other members of Liverpool and the Premier League Big Six are also considered eager to sign with Ghana International.
However, Arsenal is currently not in the race for his signature. According to Sky Sports, only the top six clubs have shown no interest.
However, this summer, it looks like good news for Man UTD, as the report suggests that the club is the most likely to win the race at Semeño, which currently costs £700 million.
Semeño, who is said to be “strong” and full of “quality” by Cherry’s teammate Louis Cook (via BBC Sports), has had a great season in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old is truly a handful of sizes and he looks like someone who can help Reuben Amorim bring this united side to level.
Will Antoine Semegno really join this struggling Manchester United team?
It looks very important for MUFC to win the Europa League this season. Otherwise, they will not play in Europe for their next term.
This could make it difficult for the club to attract the types of relocation goals they need to ensure that next season can improve this almost nightmare campaign.
Semenyo might be an ideal upgrade for flops and misfits like Marcus Rashford and Antony in Attack, but I believe Liverpool is a more attractive option.
Arne Slot’s side is about to win a Premier League title and will be participating in the Champions League next season.
Why doesn’t Semeño want to be a part of it? United might be able to lead it in terms of guaranteeing regular playtimes, but it’s rare to attract him to Old Trafford now.
It’s also a bit surprising that Arsenal hasn’t pursued Semeño. After a slightly indifferent performance from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosad, we really need more of the attack depth for most of this season.
