Liverpool is reportedly showing great interest in the potential relocation of Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
Uruguay International was a key player in Barca, but it remains to be seen whether they could be allowed to travel at a reasonable price.
Araujo could possibly become an even more important player for Liverpool, and the Reds face a difficult prospect that Virgil van Dik has finished his contract this summer.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool is currently ready to pay up to 100 million euros to sign Araujo, which could become the ideal long-term alternative to Van Dijk.
Araujo looks like he’s suited to the LFC, but they’ll certainly rather keep Vandik, even if they could include both at the starting line next season.
Liverpool needs a strong summer transfer window
Araujo looks like what Liverpool needs right now, but the Reds also have other issues they need to sort them out this summer.
Arne Slot’s side recently lost the Carabao Cup Final to Newcastle and was knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain.
They also lost 3-2 to Fulham in their final Premier League match and have some issues that need to be fixed despite the title favorites still being clear.
Araujo might be a good option, but if he costs 100 million euros, it may not leave enough money in the budget for signing in other positions.
With Trent Alexander Arnold about to close his contract, the slot certainly needs to make the right back a priority, but there may also be room for another striker to give the team an inconsistent Darwin Nunes upgrade.
