Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer and hopes to join Manchester United this summer.
His friend, former Nigerian International Julius Agahua, confirmed the players were interested from Everton and Saudi Arabian clubs. But he wants to join a big club like Manchester United.
He said (H/T Africa’s foot): “Everton and Al Ally are clearly interested, but Ndidi wants to join Manchester United. He wants to take a step forward by signing a big club like Manchester United.
Man United can use Wilfred Ndidi
Manchester United need a quality defensive midfielder, and the 28-year-old could be a great addition. He helps them get the ball back and he also protects the back four. Manchester United were extremely vulnerable at back last season and need a reliable defensive midfielder.
The 28-year-old not only helps them dominate the midfield contest, but his arrival will allow creative players to run with more freedom. He had extensive experience in Premier League football and was able to settle down quickly. He’s far too good for the championship and wouldn’t want to play in the second division of English football next season.
The bargain move for the Red Devils
Ndidi is available for reasonable amounts following Leicester City’s relegation, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will be able to snap him anytime soon.
It’s a bargain acquisition for Manchester United and they have to do everything in their power to get the deal done. They need to bounce hard to improve their team after a disappointing campaign. Players like Ndidi certainly help them improve. He has the physicality and technical attributes to play for large clubs and has been linked to elite clubs in the past.
