The strong winds have stopped the opening round on Friday of the LIV Golf Andalusia event held in San Roque, Spain.
Gusts of wind up to 33 mph created conditions that are not playable in the actual club Valderrama.
Play was stopped at 5:07 PM local time as organizers monitored weather conditions before announcing the reboot time.
Five players, including Lee Westwood in England and Cameron Smith in Australia, shared the lead with a one-under par at halt.
This is the first European stop on the 2025 LIV Golf Calendar. Spain’s Sergio Garcia is the defending champion.
