Sunderland is reportedly watching the move of midfielder Mario Pasaric from central Atalanta this summer.
The 30-year-old is only a few days away from the end of his contract with Atalanta and is not expected to sign a new contract with the Serie A Giants.
Instead, Pasalic has been keen to move into the Premier League this summer, and it has been widely reported that the club is investigating his situation.
Sunderland is one of the teams leading the tracking of Croatia International’s signatures, along with the newly promoted Leeds United.
Pasalic was featured in the book as a young man at Chelsea, but there was no competitive appearance for the Blues.
Mario Pasaric looking for another chance in the Premier League
Pasarik appears to be prioritizing British return to football this summer, as he failed to achieve that with Chelsea.
The experienced midfielder was on track during his time in Italy, putting up loan spells early in his career at clubs such as Monaco, Spartac Moscow and Elche.
Sunderland is trying to put together teams that can stay in the Premier League, so it can work well to sign players of this caliber.
It’s not easy for a black cat, but if you can become ambitious and smart in your transfer market job, you may have a chance.
People like Pasalic are on free transfers, it looks like a great opportunity and it will be interesting to see if Sunderland can beat Leeds to his signature this summer.
