Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts said Tanner Scott did not pitch Wednesday night because he is away from the team for personal reasons.
Scott was not at the stadium for Game 3 of the National League Division Series.
“He wasn’t at the ballpark today,” Roberts said. “There was something personal going on. That would come out later. But he was completely unavailable.”

Scott hasn’t pitched yet this postseason, but with LA fielding five pitchers, it would have made sense for him to pitch Wednesday night. In theory, Scott could have pitched Clayton Kershaw’s second, eight innings, allowed five runs (four of them allowed) and allowed Philadelphia to take the game away.
It is unclear at this time whether Scott will be available for Game 4 on Thursday. The are unlikely to use Kershaw on Thursday, but it appears everyone else will be available out of the bullpen. Tyler Glasnow came on as a relief pitcher in Game 1 and became the starter.
Scott had a trying debut season in Los Angeles, posting a 4.74 ERA and a league-worst 10 saves.
