The La Lakers may not be able to add players to the roster, but they are warned away from one famous star.
There are still many interesting names left in the free agent market, and there are experienced stars who can bring a lot to future teams.
One of these is veteran star Chris Paul who spent last season with the San Antonio Spurs and feels he still has to offer.
Paul hinted that this could be his final year in the NBA, prompting speculation about where his next team is.
Chris Paul suggests he prefers to live on the West Coast for family reasons, which we have seen both Los Angeles teams speculate as possible destinations.
NBA expert Kevin O’Connor warned the LA Lakers for a move, citing potential disastrous fits from a team and HR perspective.
He told Yahoo:
This view was supported by fellow analyst Tom Harborstro, who expressed the view that LeBron James would support the deal, which is less shaky than before.
He states:
“This is the team of Bill Duffy and Luka Donsic. I don’t think Chris Paul would think it’s good, like the practical manager you have in NBA history next to Luka Donsic.”
Chris Paul approached his move to the LA Lakers in 2011 and was denied by an NBA commissioner.
Paul signed with the LA Clippers, where he spent six seasons spurting the spells of the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors.
It’s 12 times the All-Stars but hasn’t won an NBA title, but no longer has time for the 2005 draft pick.
