Ferrari is the headline for an upgrade brought to Bahrain Granpurin as Scuderia attempts to fill the gap with McLaren in the front of the field.

McLaren received one new part this weekend. There is a new front brake duct winglet that the team says will “enhance the overall aerodynamic performance as they aim for better flow conditioning.” But it was a Ferrari, which brought about a wider set of updates.

There is a new floor package for the SF-25, which incorporates changes to the fence, floor body, floor edge and diffuser, and the team says it is targeting improvements to the losses moving downstream. The Ferrari is McLaren’s 76-point drifting in the Constructors Championship.

Ferrari says, “Along with the reedge load and vorticity flowing into the diffuser, the subsequent redeformed boat and tunnel expansion has been reproduced.” There is also a new rear wing pillar designed to improve efficiency.

Red Bull has a new front wing evolution focused on performance, but additional cooling louvers are available to accommodate high temperatures in Bahrain.

The only other upgrade this weekend is a similar cooling tweak on HAAS. The engine cover outlet is wider, but the team will also compare Suzuki’s latest floors to the initial designs they ran in Melbourne and China during the FP1.
