The Atlanta Drive Golf Club and the New York Golf Club played their second match of the three best series of their first TGL Championship on Tuesday night.
Atlanta Drive GC took a 1-0 lead in the series on Monday, beating New York GC 6-5 in a closely contested game that led to the final hole. In Tuesday’s game, Atlanta retracted his late comeback victory, defeating New York 4-3 to complete a sweep and claiming the Sophie Cup.
Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantray and Justin Thomas were active in Atlanta, while Lucas Glover was inactive. New York, Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young and Rickie Fowler were active. Matt Fitzpatrick didn’t play.

After a missed putt from New York’s Young, Cantray had the opportunity to give Atlanta an early lead in hole 1.
Shaufele, New York, leads
New York finally smashed their tie in the Triples part of the match. Schaufele hit an impressive first shot, which led his team to take a 1-0 lead on hole 7.

The NYGC tracked the score in hole 7 by scoring another point in hole 8. After his shot, New York threw a hammer to double the value of the hole, but Atlanta declined, giving New York a point.
New York leads 3-0
New York continued to distance themselves from Atlanta on the first hole in the singles portion of the match. Schaufele beat Thomas in Hall 10 to bring New York to 3-0.

Atlanta slowly chipped New York’s lead in the singles before finally leading at hole 14. Fowler hit the first shot into the bunker, opening the Atlanta door and throwing a hammer. Horschel hit a nearly 18-foot putt to give Atlanta a 4-3 lead, sealing the victory at hole 15.
