Manchester City could have been pushed by unlikely title contender Arsenal in the 2022/23 Premier League season, but the civic experience ultimately paid off as three games still played.
City didn’t win the league on the pitch as the spin’s third title was confirmed by Arsenal’s 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest.
This Premier League season was affected by the winter World Cup in Qatar, so he finished quite late, with the champions even having time to drop five points in the rest of the match.

Another long midseason victory helped Man City secure an early title party in 2021.
The 15th consecutive victory was beaten by the nearest challenger to extend the trophy, and citizens left the city in March 2021, with citizens becoming 14 points clear.
It was ultimately a unified defeat that confirmed City had returned to the top of the British game after Leicester City’s victory at Old Trafford in mid-May passed the third British top flight title at Guardiola.

Chelsea only lost three times throughout the year (including one after the title win was confirmed).

Jose Mourinho’s first league title in the UK also won three games. Arsenal’s invincibility was placed on the sword by a ruthless blues team who was undefeated in 40 games.
Man City took on their only loss in Matchday 9 as they won 1-0, 1-0 against the Chelsea side in October 2004.
The Blues’ first 50-year championship, which ultimately won by 12 points, was confirmed by beating the Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in late April.

The seventh of them saw a 3-1 victory at Southampton – affirming the continued advantage at the top of the UK football, with David Beckham and Ole Gunner Solskier in the goalscoller that day.

Another season, which didn’t seem United had loosened their title hold, happened 13 years later, when Wayne Rooney and Golden Boots winner Robin Van Persy were led by the Red Devils side, who had fallen into Premier League glory.
Perhaps angered at being rejected in the most dramatic way by neighbour Man City on the final day of 2011/12, Irish Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season was dominated by the determined aspect of revenge.
City only accumulated 78 points compared to a total of 89 the previous year. After a 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford, the gap was 16 points and Van Persy’s hat-trick ultimately provided a decent conclusion for a good campaign.

There was little doubt that Man City would win the title in charge for Pep Guardiola’s second season. The only surprise was how long it took them to get the job done.
Being Centurion on the final day of his late victory over Southampton was an impressive campaign cake icing that won 19 of his first 20 matches.
A 4-3 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League classic simply dented their spirits as the title charge continued when they threatened to become invincible.
They could have won the title at home with their rivals at Matchday 32 at home, but the shocking 3-2 defeat meant that they were made to wait eight more days as United were beaten at home by West Brom to confirm the city as champions.

Not only did Man Utd win the Premier League, which he hasn’t played in five games yet, but he lost his final three games while winning the league with 10 points.
It was by no means a vintage season by United standards, and the Red Devils finished with 80 points – quite low on the championship-winning side.
However, after building a 16-point lead in a victory over Coventry City in April 2001, he didn’t need to score any more points.

Liverpool has the distinctive distinction of winning the Premier League in the fastest time, despite taking more days than the winners who came before them.
Due to the pandemic, Liverpool’s historic campaign was suspended in March 2020. At that point, he effectively sealed the title thanks to 27 wins from 29 games.
Their long unbeaten start of the season stopped just two weeks before the league was postponed, with Watford becoming the first side to beat Liverpool in 45 attempts, winning 3–0 at Vicarage Road.
After the league resumed, Liverpool played two more games after Chelsea defeated Man City in June 2020 before being eventually confirmed as the champion.
Liverpool scored seven games as Champions Elect and ended their longest Premier League season with trophies at Anfield in their final home game against Chelsea on July 22, 2020.
Even on this year’s side, it couldn’t win it anytime soon, showing just how dominant Jurgen Klopp’s dominant team was in that extraordinary year.
