Leeds aims to be extremely active in the transfer market this summer as they continue to prepare for their Premier League returns. Six signatures have already been made, and many more are now coming, but I hope some existing players move on, but that’s easier said than done.
Over the past few weeks, Junior Farpo and Sambrium have left Elland Road, allowing others to follow. Mateo Joseph is strongly linked to his return to his hometown of Spain, and the other forward player who can leave is Joe Gerhardt.
Gerhardt, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull, faces an uncertain future in Leeds. He has the opportunity to stay at the club, but he was expected to leave.
Joel Gerhard faces an uncertain future in Leeds
According to the Yorkshire Post (via Leeds Press), Gerhardt could remain in Leeds next season, and the 23-year-old should be given the opportunity to impress in the Premier League, according to former player Germaine Pennant.
“Gerhard, if he does have a really good run and gets time for the game, he’s a good prospect. There’s a way back for him. The bigger your team, the better it’s for Leeds, the better it’s.
We still haven’t seen Gelhardt leave Leeds, but otherwise he could have had the opportunity to stake claims for the location of Daniel Fark’s team in the Premier League.
