Leeds United shot stopper Iran Mesley could potentially move to Leicester City this summer.
The fox could be in the market for new goalkeepers as there was a lot of uncertainty about Mads Hermansen’s future. If he was to leave the club, Leicester City could make the move for Iran Mesley.
According to a TeamTalk report, Leeds United managed to get a French shot stopper, which wasn’t his best form recently. They could end up approving his departure in interest from the team of Rood Van Nasterroy.
Meslier has been part of the Foxes’ first team since 2019. The 25-year-old has been featured in over 200 games for them and has been a consistent performer for many years. But things recently haven’t been that great for him.
The French shotstopper made a considerable number of errors that Leeds merged key points as they pushed Leeds to UK’s return to top flights. Daniel Fark was forced to drop Meslier from the starting XI on his final three outings, and there was much talk about his future at the club.
Leeds is set in busy summer windows
The West Yorkshire Club could be extremely busy with the upcoming summer transfer period if they make a safe promotion. They see ways to further strengthen their team, but Leeds United have even managed to break up with a few players. Meslier is one of the names at the top of that list.
Leicester City has emerged as a potential destination for former FC Lorient goalkeeper. They are set to be relegated to the championship.
The fox may have to offload the most valuable players to balance the book when he returns to Division 2. If Hermansen leaves, Van Nistelroy’s team can launch an attack to sign Messlier from Leeds United.
