Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright suggests that Marcus Rashford should consider a move to Newcastle United this summer as the future of the Manchester United remains uncertain.
Wright believes that the partnership between Rashford and Newcastle’s Alexander Isaac could be formidable.
Following a fall with manager Reuben Amorim, Rashford left the Red Devils and was allowed to travel to Aston Villa during the winter transfer.
The 27-year-old has been criticized multiple times by the boss of a man who forced an English attacker to express his desire to move out of the club.
After joining Aston Villa, Rashford regained his form, scoring four goals for Aston Villa and providing six assists in 17 appearances.
Wright turned the Man United outcast this summer to leave the club forever and considered moving to Carabao Cup winner Newcastle United.
Wright stated on the Ringer FC podcast, as Goal reported:
“It’s like a signature that Newcastle should make.
“That’s amazing. It’s dangerous. Rashford in Newcastle? Yes. That’s really good. I really love it for Rashford. Rashford in Newcastle is dangerous.”
Marcus Rashford leaves Man United?
Villa holds the £40 million option to make this move permanent, but Rashford’s desire to play in the Champions League could have an impact on his decision.
United are reportedly open to selling Rashford this summer to fund new relocations and cutting wage bills. He has three years left on the contract, which means he’s earning £365,000 a week.
Eddie Howe hopes that he has a player like Rashford on his team that can play in any position on the offensive.
Signatures like Rashford add depth to the team and bring experience to the club. Howe is trying to add depth to his wide offensive position, and Rashford is perfect for his team.
