The 39-year-old manager opens to replace Leeds United’s Fark

Daniel Farke during Leeds vs Stoke City

Former Southampton manager Russell Martin is reportedly in the frame to replace Leeds United’s Daniel Fark.

Fark had just led Leeds to promotion to the Premier League, and he missed out on last season just a small loss to Southampton in the playoff final.

Martin doesn’t last very long with the saints on top flights, and they’re back to the championship this season.

Still, with Leeds rumoured to seriously consider changing the dugout on Elland Road this summer, it appears that Martin is incredibly lined up to replace Farke.

Despite Fark’s promotion to Leeds, there appear to be some concerns about how he will do it in the Premier League, which could be a relegation fight next season.

Should Leeds United replace Daniel Fark, who is preparing to live in the Premier League?

I think Farke is pretty unlucky to lose his job after winning the Leeds promotion, but there may be some logic to it too.

Getting up to the Premier League from the Championship is one thing, but staying in the Premier League brings about a totally different kind of challenge.

All three newly promoted aspects have returned straight this season, so Leeds may be looking at it and thinking they need to change so that they don’t do the same.

There could be managers with a Premier League experience that can help LUFC, but to be fair, Martin isn’t an exciting name at all.

It seems strange to think he can do a very good job for Leeds as he got so poor when he put Southampton on the top flight.
