Manchester City veteran playmaker Kevin De Bruin reportedly gave Aston Villa a green light this summer.
The experienced Belgian International is approaching free agency as his contract with Man City expired at the end of this season.
De Bruyne recently announced in an official statement that he will leave Etihad Stadium this summer, and he suggests he will be open to staying in the Premier League.
De Bruyne is strongly associated with the MLS club, but it appears he may be open to staying in the UK.
The villa has linked to Debruin, which could be a very exciting move, and is boosted by the 33-year-old’s decision to consider an offer from a Premier League club.
Next forward to Kevin De Bruin
When asked about his future, De Bruyne said: “I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know.
“The decision to leave (Manchester City) wasn’t long. In the world of football, nothing can be decided in a week.
“I haven’t seen my family since my decision. I have to talk to them, and I’ll see the team I want to be. So I don’t know. I don’t know.”
“There’s always a challenge. You know. You don’t know what will happen next season.
“If the team comes in and convinces me that they have a great sports project. I know that I’m clearly not the youngest anymore.
“I still think I can play at the highest level. I don’t know which teams are interested or what they want to do.
“No matter what the project is – I want to listen. I love soccer. I love playing soccer. If a great project comes and the family is fine with that, we can make a decision.”
