The team acquired right-handed pitcher Noah Davis in cash from the Boston Red Sox. He reports to Triple A Oklahoma City and appears on the 40-person roster. Right-handed pitcher Emmett Sheehan moved to Illinois for 60 days.

Davis, 27, was a 11th round pick for the Cincinnati Reds in 2018. He was traded with the Colorado Rockies in 2021 and made his MLB debut in 2022.
Over three seasons with the Rockies, Davis pitched 51.1 innings, earning an ERA of 7.71 with 43 strikeouts and 23 walks.
Davis joined the Red Sox this offseason in a minor league deal. This spring he pitched 4.82 ERAs in 9.1 innings.
Davis serves as the ‘ minor league depth. The are a team with a track record of turning pitchers once turned into capable MLB players.
