Earlier in the season, centre fielder Andy Page struggled to perform at the same level as his All-Star teammate.
He averaged .183 in his first 25 games and made some defensive errors in the outfield. But Page turned things around and ran for the first All-Star selection of his career.

With a team full of the league’s most valuable players and multiple All-Stars, the 24-year-old is tied up with three MVP Shohei Ohtani and a team-leading 58 RBI, ranking second in the team with 96 hits and 78 home runs.
However, the All-Star vote did not go well with Page’s favor. He was ranked seventh in the National League outfielder with 962,219 votes after phase one of the vote, but the page was not cut in the end.
Athletic Chad Jennings has selected Page as one of the biggest All-Star snubs of the season, along with New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto, Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki and Boston Red Sox outfielder Sedanne Rafaela.

Jennings explained how there are several rules that can affect why the page was not selected. One of the most reasonable explanations is that every MLB team must have at least one player in the All-Star team.
The Los Angeles have five All-Stars leading MLB this season, tied with the Detroit Tigers. And that doesn’t include former All-Stars like shortstop Mookie Betts and outfielder Tescal Hernandez.
First baseman Freddie Freeman, two-way players Shohai Otani, catcher Will Smith, and starting pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Clayton Kershaw were among the ‘ selected All-Stars.
So Los Angeles accounts for almost 16% of the NL All-Star roster, which must also represent all teams. So adding a page to the roster could have taken place from teams like the Miami Marlins and Colorado Rockies, with one All-Star delegate.
While Page may not have created an All-Star team this season, Rising Star is already the World Series champion and certainly has a bright future.
