The Los Angeles desperately need bullpen help as a later stage of the season.
According to MLB insider Robert Murray, the familiar face of free agent right-handed Joe Kelly is expected to throw to the team soon.

The current state of the ‘ pitching roster has the eighth highest era in MLB. Tanner Scott, the man entrusted with 26 save opportunities, leads MLB with seven blown saves.
Scott was moved to the 15-day injury list last week with inflammation in his left elbow, but brings another point about the ‘ haller. The shooting has been plaguing teams since spring training, but appears to plague the availability of the mound.
For these reasons and so on, that’s probably why Kelly has another opportunity to wear uniforms.
Kelly won a 4.78 ERA in 32 innings last season, but his October performance could be something the would want to retake if he was offered a deal.
The 37-year-old from Anaheim pitched 11.1 innings during the Boston Red Sox 2018 playoff run, allowing him to win one during this period. As a during the 2020 campaign, he had just 2.45 ERA in five appearances, leading to the second ring.
Certainly, as manager of his son’s youth team, he continues to play baseball this year, so things may have changed due to his right-handedness, but I hope that Kelly’s 98.1 mph fastball average from last season is still ongoing. The 36-year-old was still in the 98th percentile among active pitchers with that speed.
Another fatal offering from Kelly last season was his knuckle curve, allowing just .091 batting average against that, batters shaking and losing 42.4% of the time.
At the very least, Kelly has returned as the clubhouse presence, fan favorite and veteran leader.
