Thierry Henry

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry won the first taste of Champions League football in 1997/98 when the French side helped the French side towards the semi-finals.

The Frenchman competed in Juventus and later Arsenal, and suffered a broken heart in the 2006 final against Barcelona. However, Henry joined Barcelona and finally got the trophy after beating Manchester United in the 2009 final.

Mohamed Sarah has been at the top of his game for a while, so reaching a half-century of the Champions League is a presumed admiration for a player of his height.

Best known of Dynamo Kiev and his time in Milan, Andri Shevchenko has won the net 59 times in the Champions League.

Shevchenko, which was also revealed in Chelsea, won the tournament with Milan in 2003. The Ukrainian retired in 2012 and continued to control his country between 2016 and 2021.

Powerful Dutch striker Rude van Nistellouis has joined two of Europe’s largest clubs in Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Retirement in 2012, Van Nistellouis scored 60 goals in the competition and was the top scorer in three separate editions of the tournament, but failed to win the Champions League.

Real Madrid icon Raul has held the record as the highest ever goalscorer in the Champions League for many years, averaging all other games in 142 appearances in Europe.

The Spaniard could be the boss of the B-side of the B-side with Madrid three times, and as he became the manager of Real Madrid’s B-side in 2019, he could be the boss of the B-team of the B-team.

Another Real Madrid legend who scored many Champions League goals with the Bernabéu is Karim Benzema.

Currently playing for Saudi Arabia, Benzema has recorded 18 consecutive Champions League seasons, won five tournaments, and won the top scorer award in 2021/22.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski became the third player to score 100 Champions League goals during his time at Barcelona.

Previously, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich’s Lewandowski were Bayern’s top European football goals scorers, scoring 15 times in 2019/20 when they unlocked the only Champions League trophy.

129 goals

Barcelona’s legendary Lionel Messi comes as runner-up on the list, with 120 of 129 Champions League goals coming for the Catalan Giants.

Messi scored against 40 different teams in the competition, a record, but he was the most prolific against Arsenal, earning the net nine times against the gunners.

Argentina also represents Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, with the final arrival of 2015 winning the tournament with Barcelona on three separate occasions.
