Since the 2021 NBA Championship run, the Milwaukee Bucks have not had similar success in the league.
During the 2021 NBA Championship run, Giannis Antetokounmpo was surrounded by stars who complemented his game.
However, since then, the Milwaukee Bucks have failed to build a similar roster of Greek freaks. This is evident from the exit of the first round of the Bucks’ third consecutive first-round in the last three seasons.
With Giannis not getting younger, the Bucks’ championship window has been shrinking at an incredible speed. With that in mind, the franchise has made some pretty important changes to its roster.
This summer, when the Bucks re-signed and new players combined, the organization has made a total of 12 additional additions to be addressed by head coach Doc Rivers.
However, the most talked about is Miles Turner. Turner agreed to a four-year, $108.9 million Bucks contract after participating in the 2024 NBA Finals with the Indiana Pacers.
Another important addition is Tanasis Antetokounmpo, as it reportedly moved to Giannis to stay in the Bucks.
That being said, here are 12 additions that the Bucks have made to the roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
- Miles Turner (signs four-year contract)
- Tanasis antetokounmpo (signed one-year contract)
- Cole Anthony (signs private contract)
- Gary Harris (signs two-year contract)
- Amir Coffey (signs private contract)
- Chris Livingston (re-signed one-year contract)
- Kevin Porter Jr. (re-signed 2-year contract)
- Bobby Portis (re-signed 3-year contract)
- Prince Taurian (re-signed 2-year contract)
- Ryan Rollins (re-signed 3-year contract)
- Jericho Sims (re-signed 2-year contract)
- Gary Trent Jr. (re-signed 2-year contract)
The Bucks’ plans for the 2025-26 season seemed to bring back as many players as possible from the previous season.
However, given the team’s performance over the past three seasons, it will be interesting to see if this bold decision will pay off for them.

There’s no bigger exit this summer than Damien Lillard’s. Lillard was abandoned by the Bucks as he recovered from a torn Achilles tendon injury.
The move shocked the NBA community as they took part in a very expensive trade in 2023 to bring Dame to the team.
With the exception of Lillard, there are familiar faces that are no longer members of the Bucks in the 2025-26 season.
- Damien Lillard (abandoned)
- Brook Lopez (remained as a free agent)
- Pat Connaughton (trading with the Charlotte Hornets)
- VasilyMiciC (exemption)
Not only was Lillard abandoned by the Bucks, but he also joined his former team, the Portland Trail Blazers, losing the organization in the 2023 deal.
