The Utah Jazz is laying building blocks to return as title candidates for the Western Conference.
The franchise slowly collected assets as Danny Ainge took over as CEO of Utah Jazz’s basketball operations.
This jazz helped to drive multiple deals, including Luka Doncic to La Lakers. But what about the team’s own situation?
Well, here’s all the big changes Ainge and Jazz made ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
It appears they want to create a dynamic duo with Rory Markanen in the 2025 NBA Draft at Jazz Draft Ace Bailey.
As Bailey and Markanen were preparing for their first season together, the Jazz also traded for a veteran of Jussov Nurkic.
However, this is just one of four additions to the jazz roster except for re-signing this summer.
The Jazz has won several veterans through the deal, but they will likely lose Kevin’s love soon. After all, it is rumoured that Love will join the Lakers after negotiating a contract buyout with the Jazz.

Following last season’s 17-65 finish, head coach Will Hardy’s job won’t be easy this season.
why? Well, the Jazz decided to split the star’s core ahead of the new season. That included John Collins’ deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Because Jazz broke up with several other prominent stars.
- John Collins (trading with LA Clippers)
- Colin Sexton (trading with the Charlotte Hornets)
- Jordan Clarkson (Acquisition of the contract)
- Johnny Juzan (abandoned)
- Jaden Springer (abandoned)
Given these changes, Jazz’s 2025-26 starting lineup is very different from recent. All eyes turn to how well Bailey performs with the team and if he can lead them into the playoff berth sooner than later.
