Brooklynnet can hand over a massive boost by bringing talented player Ace Bailey to the team.
Rutgers’ point guard has made the news with some of his decisions before the draft.
He worked well in college, averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds for Rutgers last season.
His game elicited early comparisons with players like Michael Porter Jr. and Brandon Miller.
For a long time, Ace Bailey was predicted to go third to draft him by the Philadelphia 76ers.
However, the New Orleans Pelican expressed interest in trading for him as team president Joe Dumars prefers Bailey.
Players are not guaranteed to land because there is less than a week left in the draft.
But that’s due to his camp strategy, as he is the only North American outlook that he won’t visit the franchise.
Bailey has cancelled his visit to Philadelphia, but the real reason behind the decision is now coming out and could be a huge boost for Brooklyn’s net.
Bailey was a predicted pick with the 76ers, but there was no official.
He was scheduled for a visit, but according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, his agents wanted Bailey to commit before training with the team.
They write: “Some league sources said Bailey’s agent Omar Cooper wanted the Six to commit to him before training Friday.
“A league executive said Bailey would once be a top three pick and would be drafted because of his agency’s tactics.
“Bailey remains a US-based draft prospect to not visit teams for training. Another league executive believes the agency wants Bailey to stay on the East Coast and play somewhere between Atlanta and New York.”
A lot needs to happen as Bailey may have to trade up with him considering how much he will affect him.
The net with four picks in the first round changes dramatically for them in the draft.
Sources report they want to trade up in the draft to pick Bailey, but there are competition with teams like the Pelican, Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizard.
But Bailey has already refused to go to training with the Wizards and the Hornets, but has also refused to confirm interest in other teams.
His agents have only expressed their desire to be Bailey’s top three pick, so the net has to try and do something to seduce the 76ers.
One option they can consider is to exchange the pick for Philadelphia and attach the player.
