The Championship Pair appears as a market opportunity for West Ham

West Ham needs a good summer transfer window to improve their overwhelming Premier League performance this season. However, it may be difficult to sign a large sum of money due to PSR restrictions. That’s why the club began looking at the free agent market.

Team depth has been a problem for West Ham this season, with Graham Potter not strong enough for backup options. So there’s a desire to flesh out the first team team with better players, and it’s ideal to do this with a free agent.

And the targets are lined up by West Ham, two of whom are coming from the championship.

As reported by Hammers News, Josh Brownhill and CJ Egan-Riley from the Burnley pair are on West Ham’s radar. Both players are expected to become free agents at the end of June, but the newly promoted party confirmed earlier this week that they are being offered the opportunity to sign a new deal on Turf Moor.

Brown Hill has been on the West Ham radar for over five years, so the opportunity to sign him as a free agent is something they long for not to give him. The expected departure of Edson Alvarez, Thomas Sousek and Lucas Paketa means that midfield reinforcements are needed at London Stadium, so the Burnley man would be an ideal signing.

The confirmed exit of Vladimir Kufal means West Ham is also about to sign a new right-back, meaning Egan Riley can fill in this blank. He and Brown Hill will be a great addition to the Potter team, but for now it’s still unclear if they’ll have the opportunity to move, as it depends on whether they’ll stay in Burnley or not.
