The Charlotte Hornets have undergone an incredible summer league campaign, and many young players have been impressed.
They are undefeated throughout the tournament and will play the Summer League Finals against the Sacramento Kings.
They faced the undefeated OKC Thunder side in the semi-finals as well. However, the Charlotte Hornets retracted a compelling 109-80 victory at the night.
Jalen Sims led the way to the Hornets as he scored 25 points in 71.4% shooting from the field.
But that was what Kon Knueppel did.
Knueppel was always trying to look at him as he was the fourth pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
He averaged 14.3 points and showed a lot of grit for his team, which made everyone impressed with his summer league performance.
One of the biggest examples of how much Knoupel cares about victory came in the semi-finals against the Thunder.
The 19-year-old had already scored 17 points, and the Hornets had a comfortable 26-point lead. However, Knupel jumped for a loose ball and injured his head with that play, so he was taken out of the game.
It’s not very good that Knoupel suffered an injury, but it shows how committed he is to win.
The Hornets have not achieved success in recent years, but the addition of Cnoupel has brought much hope to the organization.
The Duke player revealed how Clay Thompson’s legacy has inspired him recently.
Like the four-time champion, Knuppel has been a great shooter throughout his stint in college and if he could continue the same in the NBA, the Hornets could have added a talented two-way player to the roster.
Knoupel’s Summer League performance was impressed even Hornets Summer League coach Chris Gent.
He reveals that Knoupel is nervous in the first game, but has since shown his own abilities and his true abilities.
Gent said: “He’s just playing comfortably. He’s comfortable right now. His first game, a little nervous, his first game in the summer league.
He’s a newcomer, that’s what you’d expect. Now he has found a little rhythm and flow, and it only gets better. ”

Knuppel has already spoken about his excitement to play alongside other players for the Hornets.
Lamelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges are the three core players on the team. However, Knupel certainly can bring dynamism to the team in terms of his shooting and defensiveness.
