The Charlotte Hornets had a strong young core, but one young star is struggling with the injuries he has recovered from now.
The Charlotte Hornets failed to make the impact they had tried to head towards the 2020s.
After landing Lamelo Ball and Brandon Miller between 2020 and 2023, the Hornets felt they had the right core to build up. However, both stars had major issues with consistency after their respective newcomers’ seasons.
This year, the Hornets landed Kon Knueppel in the NBA Draft. And soon, Knupel impressed NBA fans with his summer league outing.
For the first time in a long time, there is genuine excitement about the Charlotte Hornets coming season. And it’s one star that has fans who are especially hoping for his every move.
Brandon Miller has had an impressive rookie season, averaging 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 74 games. Unfortunately, it was covered in Victor Wenbanyama’s sensational rookie year.
And although his numbers improved last season, it was a season that was traumatised by injuries as he averaged 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
Miller only played 27 games last season, but missed several games due to multiple injuries. Miller’s season was over after undergoing surgery in January.
He has been struggling to recover ever since. And for more than six months to recover, he hopes to prove his worth to the team next season.
And now he has another powerful two-way wing to Kon Knueppel along with him, so he can truly thrive with the excellent distribution that Lamelo Ball can offer.
Brandon Miller’s return is one of many reasons why Charlotte Hornets fans are optimistic about this season.
Lamelo Ball is healthy and ready to remind everyone why he was considered one of the best players in the draft class.
Hornets coach Charlesley has the inspiring responsibility to grasp new rotations in the weeks of the NBA season.
And given the roster that the Hornets put together this offseason, he should have no problem putting together a team that can compete for a playoff spot in the east.
