Napoli reportedly remains in contact with Manchester United midfielder Cobby Mineu’s aide ahead of the potential loan in January.
England International has been struggling to play lately, and it makes sense for him to seek moves elsewhere this winter.
There’s been a lot of speculation about Mainoo going back to the summer, and now Sky Sports’ Sacha Tavolieri claims that his contact with Naples is still ongoing.
This follows a recent ESPN report stating that Mainoo can search again for a move from Old Trafford in January.
United weren’t keen to let Mainoo go before, so it would be interesting to see if their stance shifts before the next transfer window.
Kobbie Mainoo certainly needs to start the Manchester United game
Most Red Devils fans will certainly agree that it’s a bit confusing to see Reuben Amorim continuing to overlook the main in his starting XI.
The talented 20-year-old looks good enough to play more often as he made a real impression when he first infiltrated the team under his former manager, Eric Teng Hug.
If this popular homemade young man is allowed to leave and he continues to shine elsewhere, it certainly may seem a bit ridiculous.
After the success of McTominay and Hojlund, Napoli is focusing on Mainoo
However, it makes sense that Napoli is eager to raid United once again, as Napoli has been so well prepared for MUFC flops to do their best.
Scott McTominay has proven his revelation in Naples, but Rasmus Hojlund has also started well this season since he also took part in the loan.
Mainoo looks like another player who can definitely improve once he gets out of Manchester. This will certainly be an interesting story to look at January.
