Tottenham Hotspur is deeply connected to the movement of Crystal Palace attacker Ebeki Eze this summer.
According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace now decides it will not hold back the player’s asking price, and Tottenham will have to pay £68 million to close the transaction. The 26-year-old was an exception for the Eagles, and he helped win the FA Cup last season.
The king runs through the spur
The attacking midfielder scored 14 goals in all competitions and scored 11 assists. He’s definitely a great addition to Tottenham. He adds more technical abilities, talent and unpredictability to his offensive units.
However, Tottenham is forced to pay players a substantial amount, and it remains to be seen what they have decided. They need to improve multiple areas of their team and they won’t want to overpay for the players.
They had a disappointing Premier League campaign last season, and Tottenham needs to bounce back hard. You need the highest quality player like Eze.
Players who are likely to become enthusiastic about moving
Meanwhile, attacking midfielders are keen to join big clubs as well. He proved himself in the palace, and this is a time when he deserves to try new challenges. Tottenham is able to offer him Champions League football and he is certainly drawn to the idea of joining them. He hopes that the two clubs can finalize their deals in the coming weeks.
He is also linked to Arsenal. It will be interesting to see which clubs are willing to come forward and pay him £68 million.
As things stand, the possibility that Tottenham will be priced from movement is very realistic.
