The Dallas Mavericks are serious about using the number one overall pick they’ve acquired through the draft lottery.

Prior to the NBA draft lottery, Bil Simmons claimed that if the number one pick went to the Dallas Mavericks it would be “moral anger.”

This took into account the 2024 NBA finalists who stumbled on the lottery in the first place after trading Luka Donsic for the La Lakers, and their own season exploded with smoke.

The Mavericks have overcome a small odds of 1.8 percent to win the lottery and give pressure general manager Nico Harrison a lifeline.

Dallas is currently in pole position to select the Cooper Flag. This seems exactly what they’re trying to do.

When Dallas Maverick landed the No. 1 pick, there was all sorts of immediate speculation about what Nico Harrison could do with it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s potential for trade with the Milwaukee Bucks has become a hot topic.

However, it was quickly reported that the Mavericks would not trade opportunities to draft a generation of talent like Cooper Flag.

The Mavericks are set to make a smart phone call and Select Flag this week, which they visited Dallas for training.

Flag’s training is allegedly blew everyone in Dallas out of hope for a draft night.

Mavericks expert Noah Weber reported:

“League sources showed he “shot the ball very well” and called him a “complete beast.” He was better than I expected. ”

Cooper Flag is said to have been “unrealistic” in training with the Dallas Mavericks yesterday.

The Dallas Mavericks finished 10th in the Western Conference last season, setting a record of losing 39-43. They were officially eliminated in the play-in tournament.

Nevertheless, the roster led by Anthony Davis has a huge talent, but Kyrie Irving is expected to recover from the ACL that was torn in early 2025.

The roster is built with talented players and led by highly regarded head coach Jason Kidd, making this the perfect scenario for Flag to drop by.

The Mavericks are aiming to push for the playoff spot next season and return to the NBA Finals.

Cooper Flag will play a pivotal role with the team next season, instantly healing the injured Mavericks, and the rest of the league has already been notified in the year of the bounceback.
