In a rare move from the superstar, Anthony Davis has been assigned to The Mavs’ G-League affiliate The Texas Legends.
Mavs confirmed the roster movement and Jaden Hardy was also reassigned along with him.
ESPN’s Tim MacMahon has provided an update and added some clarity to Mavericks’ plans for Davis.
He writes: “Anthony Davis practices in Texas legends and gets a 5-for-5 job when he ramps up for his return,” he writes.
Currently, Davis is not expected to play in G-League games and could be assigned to the Dallas Mavericks within hours.
A string of nightmare injuries have ruined the Dallas Mavericks roster. Since trading Luka Doncic, it has led to asking if Mavs is cursed.
Davis is eager to play again, but the team hasn’t made a solid decision. For now, they’re reviving his rehabilitation process.

Mavs has been shortened recently, and Davis’ return will be helpful. The Lakers in particular are scheduled to visit early April.
