The Dallas Mavericks recreate NBA history with the help of their WNBA counterparts.

The 2024-25 NBA season will be remembered forever by Dallas Mavericks fans. After all, it was the season when Mavs decided to trade Luka Doncic for Los Angeles Lakers.

From the day the deal was announced, it sucked life from one of the league’s most passionate fanbases. However, after months of sorrow, a wave of happiness finally hits the Mavericks.

Despite having only 1.8% odds, the Mavericks scored the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. This is the first time in the history of the franchise that they have been awarded a top pick.

It has been more or less confirmed that Mavericks will choose Cooper Flag with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

But before that, the Mavericks have already made basketball history. how? Almost a month ago, WNBA counterpart Dallas Wings also scored the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

The Wings used it to select the top draft of Prospect’s Page Viewer, but the Mavericks will likely welcome the flag to Dallas.

This means that both the NBA and WNBA’s first overall picks belong to the Dallas franchise. This is the second time in the history of the NBA-WNBA that this has happened.

first time? It was during the 2003 NBA Draft that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocker secured their first overall pick.

As we know, Cavs did not use it to choose anything other than LeBron James. Meanwhile, the locker chose Latoya Thomas.

James has extra time in his hands as the Lakers in Los Angeles have already come out of the postseason.

As expected, Wang wasted much time watching the 2025 NBA Draft lottery and offered no response to landing The The The Top Pick.

Many are surprised at how the draft lottery was pan-out, but at the end of the day, the Mavericks were given a miracle to save the franchise after the Donts deal.

Mavericks Fanbase hopes the team’s top brass won’t make the same mistakes they’ve made with Doncic.
