Arsenal fans are absolutely furious after further bad injury news for the club, with German manager Julian Nagelsmann revealing Kai Havertz’s setback.
Havertz missed most of last season and has only appeared in one game so far this season after undergoing knee surgery.
Still, there were hopes that the German international would return to action soon, but Nagelsmann seems to have cast doubt on that.
Kai Havertz suffers another injury
Coach Nagelsmann provided an update on Havertz during the international break, saying: “Kai (Havertz) has experienced a mild relapse but is doing well overall.”
Even if this isn’t necessarily the biggest problem or something that would lead to a significant delay in the former Chelsea player’s return, Arsenal fans don’t seem to be happy about the news at all.
It has been another injury nightmare for Arsenal so far this season, with Gabriel Magalhães suffering a thigh problem during a friendly against Brazil, which will keep him out until January.
In addition, big names such as Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Victor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are all still absent, while Bukayo Saka has missed a significant number of games so far this season.
Arsenal fans furious after news of Havertz injury
As Arsenal fans rage over yet another injury problem for their team, take a look at some of the reactions we’re seeing below.
AFC supporters are calling for the sacking of medical staff who had such a poor record when it came to keeping players healthy, after a number of similar issues arose last season…
Arsenal fans are keen to win their first league title in 22 years this season, but with a rash of injuries like this, it will certainly be difficult for them to maintain their top spot.
Mikel Arteta has done a good job of strengthening the depth of his squad over the summer, but this still leaves the squad quite wide.
With Havertz, Gokeres and Jesus all absent, Arsenal may have to use Mikel Merino again as a make-shift striker against Tottenham this weekend.
