With the 2025-26 NBA season approaching rapidly, the Los Angeles Clippers are under many fires.
The Clippers are under investigation after owner Steve Ballmer is said to pay Kawi Leonard $28 million using a company called Aspiration.
However, sports journalist Pablo Torre named it “showless job” because Leonard never worked there.
The Clippers could face some serious punishments if convicted, including having to void Leonard’s contract.
Former Clippers guard Patrick Beverly is one of the most animated NBA players of all time.
He had one of the best stretches of his career when he was with the Clippers, making his name for himself with his intense defensive style and rough play. He was a constant pest on defense and a tough competitor.
Beverly did not play in the NBA last season, and he later achieved success with his podcast, The Pat Bev podcast.
In the latest episode of his show, he talked about how he might retire from basketball due to the new opportunities he has gained from a new haircut.
“So I went to Fashion Week… I had my hair cut, right? I wanted to cut my hair and show it.
“This is a new me. This is a new brand. This is a new profile picture, right?

“If I don’t play basketball soon, I’m going to retire, he added. That’s true.
“I’m not the one who holds it forever, so with this haircut, the photo will be an opportunity.
“The opportunity is, ‘Pat, maybe you should do this, maybe you should do it.’
Beverly is a 2012 NBA veteran and has been looking at the NBA comeback, but has not played in the NBA since the 2023-24 season.
That season he played 47 games with the Philadelphia 76ers before playing 26 games with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Currently, Beverly is an NBA free agent and he played basketball for Hapoel Tel Aviv at the end. However, his tenure ended in February 2025 with the mutual contract termination.
If Beverly doesn’t get another basketball opportunity right away, he could find himself on a completely different career path.
