One of LeBron James’ former teammates pays homage to his personality and professionalism.
There have been few positive words about LeBron James since the LA Lakers were dropped out of the NBA playoffs.
James’ unique words that Anthony Davis was in trade were called “disrespectful” by the organization, before he claimed at the team’s exit that he “didn’t lose sleep.”
These comments were blown up by fans, but he was told he was “give up” about catching Michael Jordan in the goat debate.
One former teammate offers at least some kind words about the superstar.
Most of the criticism of LeBron James since the playoffs focused on his actions and choice of words rather than his actual basketball play.
Former LA Lakers teammate Quinkook doesn’t recognize this and instead portrays the superstar as the ultimate expert.
Speaking to the Victor Oladipo podcast, Cook explained about LeBron James, whom he knew behind the scenes.
“Obviously he’s a great player and the greatest player in the basketball part. He feels important to everyone. I’m telling the guy doing our laundry, head coach, from two-way guys.
“He’s the first in the gym and the last one to leave every day. And that’s not a coincidence. Why did he succeed?”
Quinn Cook is a free agent signing to the LA Lakers in 2019 and served as a backup role when the team won the NBA Championship in 2020.
Cook left the Lakers in 2021 and signed temporarily with the Cavaliers, but has not played in the NBA since. Instead, he plays abroad.
Most recently, Cook has signed with Chinese Fujian sturgeon who played in Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico, Russia and Taiwan.
And through all this, he says that LeBron James continues to make constant contact with him.
“He’s a really cool guy. I mean, I’ll probably talk to him, I haven’t been on this team for three years. I’ll probably talk to him today.
LeBron James has yet to confirm his return for next season, but it is expected to return and run it with the Lakers.
