Danny Green and James were part of the Lakers team that won the championship in 2020.
A year after winning the second ring with the Toronto Raptors, Greene was a crucial part of joining the Lakers and helping them win their 17th championship.
However, he faced a lot of criticism in the playoff run as he missed some clutch shots from James fans who personally trolled the players during the difficult run.
Green said playing with the 21 stars makes the game easier, but it was the players’ fans who put the pressure on them.
“He made the game very easy. There’s so much pressure to run the play because he’s playing with LeBron James, so it can’t be that easy,” Green said.
He also added: “And Bron is not putting any pressure on you because it’s outside rather than inside, but all LeBron fans have said, “Who’s this butt? Why is he playing, he can’t make damn shots.”
“Do you know what I’m saying? So it’s a gift and a curse, but he made the game easier, man.”
Green was drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009, but the team exempt him after 20 games.
He didn’t spend much time with James in his rookie season, but Green said it was great to be a player and teammate in his career.
He said:
“It was great, so I couldn’t ask for a better scenario.”
The three-time champion shared some big thanks to James, but Green said the Lakers won a championship with him and Luka Donsic won’t win as a star duo.
But this is because James was the best player with the Lakers and felt that the team couldn’t win the championship against the 40-year-old star.
