Returning to the Timberwolves’ three-point loss against the rocket, Tristen Newton made the headline thanks to his incredible overall performance.
Newton was originally selected by the Indiana Pacers and had his 49th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. However, Pacer broke up with him after only five appearances.
Newton has since joined the Timberwolves, despite being limited to just three appearances in the 2024-25 NBA season.

It has marked the most triple double by a power conference player since Shaquille O’Neal. Diesel had six triple doubles in his name during his three years (1989-92) stint with LSU.
