Real Bettis manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted that Manchester United winger Antony is difficult to maintain despite the impressive contributions of players from his time in Seville.
Joining Betis on a loan from Man United, the winger has found a new form and confidence in La Liga, but due to financial complications, he is not sure he will be staying forever.
Pellegrini praised the player’s growth and mentality, particularly his desire to prove himself after his challenging spells in the UK.
Man United Star was impressed in Spain
“He wanted revenge,” said the Betis boss. Reported by Fabrizio Romano.
“He’s an incredible player and it was a good time here for him to improve and get back to his best.”
Since arriving in Spain, the forward has rediscovered the talent and creativity that has become a key figure for Betis and has become one of Europe’s most talked about prospects.
His performance not only sought European qualifications, but also rekindled his interest in the long-term future. However, the heavy investments in his parent club continue to loom in negotiations.
Pellegrini was openly about Betis’ difficulties in making movement permanent.
The real Bettis wants to keep Antony
“We want to keep him here.” He added.
“But when you pay a player 100 million, that’s not easy.”
The comments reflect Betis’ financial reality, which often relies on the lending market and brings high yield talent.
Despite mutual interest, closing the financial gap with a club like United poses a serious challenge.
With the summer transfer window approaching, there are all eyes whether the winger is returning to Old Trafford to fight for his place or seeking a permanent escape in the league where he rediscovered his rhythm
The players will not return to United and are looking to continue their career in Spain, but that depends on what Man United wants, not the player.
