The Golden State Warriors welcome the star who disappointed them last season, but now they’re regaining confidence.
The Golden State Warriors finally kicked the offseason over the weekend with the necessary transactions.
After the Warriors’ decision to suspend their offseason for Jonathan Cuminga proved disastrous, they decided to pull the trigger on several moves they had verbally agreed to.
Domino, who collapsed first, was to take Al Horford to the Warriors to finish the months-long saga. They followed this with signatures from De’anthony Melton, Gary Payton II and Will Richard.
But just as for all the signatures the Warriors have made, it’s as good as the new signatures for his poor form last season, the team already has one player.
Buddy Hield spoke to reporters at the Golden State Warriors Media Day event. When discussing his offseason preparations, Hield didn’t try to be modest.
He admits to filming his best summer this offseason, highlighting it after struggling to film past the arc last season.
“Build confidence. I’m humbled to say this. This is the best summer I’ve filmed, and it was a bad year when I shot the ball.
“But (this summer) I couldn’t wait to come back with confidence. I focused on dribbling… If we were healthy, we liked the opportunity.”
Given that Hield’s 3-point firing numbers are some of the worst of his career, he realized his confidence was a great boost to the warrior.
The Golden State Warriors signed last season as an alternative to Klay Thompson, who left to join the Dallas Mavericks last season.
In the previous season, Hield shot 38.9% over the arc. However, in his first season with the Warriors, Hield’s numbers soaked just 37% from Deep.
This proves to be his worst season since 2021-22 when he was traded by King Sacramento to the Indiana Pacers.
HIELD’s return to form should involve him shooting nearing a 39.7% career next season.
