The Golden State Warriors star could be key to getting a huge name like Giannis Anteto Compo in the Bay Area.

The Lillard Saga continues, but there is still a chance that Giannis will ask following his departure from Milwaukee.
With that in mind, the Golden State Warriors can have the perfect player that can be used to trade for Greek freaks.
Jonathan Cuminga’s future with the Warriors was undoubtedly one of the biggest storylines ahead of the offseason.
All signs refer to Kuminga leaving the dub earlier than later. Luckily, Kuminga’s positive vibe makes him easy to ship for dubs.
That being said, Brett Siegel of Clutchpoints recently reported that the 22-year-old is the perfect negotiation tip for the Warriors in case Antetokounmpo becomes available for trade.
“If Giannis happens to request it, the Warriors will put so much in those trade conversations,” Siegel writes.
Siegel also made it clear that fans shouldn’t expect to clarify Giannis’ situation with the Bucks now.
“After the free agency period and the trade market collapse, we do not expect to see a clear answer on the future of Anteto Compo with the Bucks until the second half of the summer.
“To pursue Giannis, the Warriors will need young talent like Cuminga in a neat contract to use it as a tip for negotiations,” he added.
Kuminga came just after averaging 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for the Warriors last season.
However, Kuminga knows his worth and can receive an annual salary of over $25 million. The Warriors were able to use it to their advantage by signing and trading for someone on LeBron James’ caliber.
“The same idea relates to LeBron James and his uncertain future. Warriors owner Joe Lacob dreamed of bringing James to San Francisco. They seriously followed him before the 2024 NBA trade deadline,” Siegel said.
Since James chose the $52.6 million player option, King has become a mainstay of NBA trade rumors.
If Dub wants to trade with a 40-year-old, Cuminga will definitely be an important piece to make the move.
