He is facing a consequence of leaving the NBA as Jonathan Cuminga continues to hold the Golden State Warriors behind.

Jonathan Cuminga is in a very deadlock with the Golden State Warriors. The future of the young forward is still very unknown.

The Warriors offered Kuminga a two-year, $45 million contract, but there was a demand to waive the team’s options and his no-trade provisions.

Kuminga rejected the Warriors’ offer and both sides returned to square again. And things get even more tricky when you think of yourself as involved in this for the Sacramento Kings.

The king is ready to run a sign and trade for Cuminga. However, the warriors do not want to see Demar Derozan, one of the King’s main trading assets.

The former NBA champion is losing other opportunities as Kuminga’s $30 million salary demand continues to cause problems in negotiations.

According to Mark Stein, Jonathan Cuminga was initially on the list of contenders to represent Dr. Congo at the FIBA Afro Basket Tournament in Angola.

However, his current free agency situation prevented him from representing the team by participating in camp in the chip-taking tournament on August 12th.

“Jonathan Cuminga was on the Democratic Republic of Congo reserve list at Afrobasket, Angola, which begins on August 12th.

“However, I am told that Cuminga is not expected to play for his national team due to the ongoing restricted free agency stalemate with Golden State.”

This free agency situation between Kuminga and the Warriors took on a life of its own. And this makes him missed out on a key opportunity for international basketball.

It is essential that the Golden State Warriors make a decision on the situation at Jonathan Kuminga sooner and earlier.

This deadlock between the two has prevented the Warriors from signing or trading this offseason.

Unless the warriors change their minds and acquiesce to the demands of Kuminga, there are no many options available to them.

When it comes to Kuminga’s options, the net is his only hope. But so far, their front office has shown zero interest in signing him.

In any case, it is everyone’s greatest concern to close this situation as soon as possible.
