The Los Angeles are trying to do what major league baseball teams have done over the 25 years this season. Repeated as World Series champion.
Before the think about it, they need to play 160 regular season games with a big target on their backs.
After a special season in 2024, the raised the notch by adding some top free agents to the already dominant roster.
Furthermore, the are hoping that the most valuable player in the National League will make their debut as pitchers in LA, soon after a sure-fire stop in history.
Once the team is set to resume the 2025 season at Stadium, Snation I came up with five bold predictions for the 2025 season.
More news: Predict all ‘ statistical leaders for the 2025 season
1. Shohei ohtani hits 50 home runs, steals 30 bases and attacks 100 batters.
The first bold predictions begin with Otani, and we’ve put together one of the best statistical lines ever for 2025.
2023 – Last season he pitched – Otani became the first player in MLB history with at least 40 home runs, 20 stolen bass and 100 strikeouts on the same Seson. This year, he will take it to another level.
Otani will have another 50 homerun seasons (after hitting a career-high 54 in 2025) and will not steal 50 bases when he returns to pitching, but he will still add 30 stolen bases.
Then, on the pitching side, he reaches the 100 strikeout threshold and finishes on a statistical line that was only seen in video games.
Bonus prediction: Otani will be awarded his fourth MVP award. But at this point, it’s really not that bold.
2. Three finish in the top 10 of the CyYoung Award poll.
Otani isn’t the only pitcher the will add this year, as the team signed two-time CY Young Award winner Blakesnell in free agency. And we added Lokisasaki, who chose LA for the San Diego Padres and Toronto Blue Jays.
These three join Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the returning Tyler Grassnow, forming one of the best rotations in MLB history.
The plan to use a six-man rotation, but when Otani returns, they may be wary of pitchers throughout the year to ensure they are healthy in October, but the team’s talent shines and three different pitchers will finish in the top 10 of the Cy Young Award poll.
3. The Seven hit more than 20 home runs.
Last year, the had four players with at least 20 home runs. They would have had six if not due to injuries.
Let’s take another one this year.
The Seven – Otani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tescar Hernandez, Max Mancy, Will Smith and Michael Compoto – reach the 20-home run threshold in the dominant offensive year of the Blue Boys.
The last time the team did it was in 2018. player? Muncy, Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson, Yasmani Grandal, Yasiel Puig, Kiké Hernández, Matt Kemp.
4. The will replace Tony Gonzolin before the deadline.
The have the embarrassment of rotational richness. After being hurt as only three healthy starters in the final postseason, the have confirmed they have a high enough price in 2025.
However, injuries have already started to pile up, including Gonsorin, who hasn’t pitched since 2023 after undergoing Tommy John’s surgery.
Gonsorin appeared to have an inner track to be the fifth-place starter from camp, but he injures his back and opens the season with an injured list.
Now, anyone in the rotation comes out of that place, so injuries are the only way Gonsorin has the opportunity.
But there’s a flow of pitching depth behind him — Bobby Miller, Justin Wobleski, Landon Knack, Nick Fusso, and Clayton Kershaw and Emmett Sheehan at some point — the don’t need Gonsorin.
5. The will move from Christailer before the end of the regular season.
Taylor has been a candidate to move over the past few seasons, but due to his high price tag he has been stuck around the organization.
The cherish Taylor’s versatility and the impact he’s had on the organization, but as he’s in the final year of the four-year, $60 million deal he ultimately signed (he has a 2026 club option that will definitely be rejected), the will move out of Taylor at some point this season.
If Taylor is on the roster until the end of July, he will reach ten years of working hours and receive the full pension benefits that come with it.
But as he continued to struggle, the decided to move on from the former All-Star and were able to nurture one of their top hit prospects awaiting opportunities like Dalton Rushing and Alex Freeland.
