Lebron James’ thoughts about playing with Luka Doncic are the subject of much speculation.
LeBron James, 40, has decided to opt for a $52.6 million deal with the LA Lakers.
His agent Rich Paul said in a released statement that LeBron James still had a desire to win and was hoping to compete for the championship.
It was then revealed that he didn’t trust the Lakers roster, and then he was linked to a move away from the franchise, and the Dallas Mavericks are one of the teams that are speculated to be interested.
In a discussion about his future, radio host Doug Gottlieb shares his views on James’ situation in Los Angeles.
James has been in the NBA for 22 years and throughout his stint, the four-time champions were the best players on every team he played.
But there’s a lot changed with the blockbuster as Luka Doncic moved to the Lakers last season.
He was one of the best young talents and had all the abilities to lead the team, so it was clear that the Slovenians would become the future of the franchise.
According to Gottlieb, James was not satisfied as he felt he lost authority in the franchise with team Don Sic.
Speaking about Doug Gottlieb’s show, he said:
“He seemed fine with that. He doesn’t think he’s OK with this because in order to make Luka successful, Luka’s ball has to be a tonne and he has to decide everything.”
Doncic and James were incredible to see as a duo, but didn’t do well in the playoffs as the team crashed in the first round.
Gottlieb further pointed out that James is not happy that the player did not follow his plans.
“And the only conclusion you can come is that if LeBron is based on the plans he had, then others are taking shots and others are making the play.
“Now, no one goes to him and asks him, and they’re just doing things on their own, and he’s not okay,” he added.
Doncic and James are two of the best players in the NBA. When news broke out that they were playing together, it created buzz around the league.
Both have to play the ball well, but James has made Don Sic adapted well to the Lakers setup, allowing him to play freely and make the most of his talent.
The losses in the playoffs were disappointing, but a glimpse of what the duo showed in a half season was enough to prove they were great together.
The Lakers are trying to add more talent to the roster, but once they do, it would be interesting to see how the team was formed.
Don Sic looks like the player the Lakers want to build, but James is still on the roster, but they keep him happy and give him the opportunity to win another championship.
