Trent Alexander Arnold completed his move to Real Madrid at the start of the summer transfer window, but he still couldn’t hit the top shape.
The English international defender has been criticised for some of his poor defensive performances, but he is still adapted to life in Spain and is sure to be able to bounce back hard in the coming weeks. There were rumors that he could also return to the Premier League.
Former Liverpool star Steve McManaman shares his advice with a former Liverpool player. McManaman himself has played for Liverpool and Real Madrid in the past. He believes that Alexander Arnold is an incredible player with the qualities to settle for a Spanish club and that he can soon show off his true qualities.
Trent Alexander Arnold is not at his best
He said: “From the outside, I think Madrid is ruthless, but on the inside it is very familiar. The real change in torrent is the city, culture, language and lifestyle.
“But he loves it. In terms of football, the adaptation isn’t that big. Many people speak English and help him. He integrates quickly. Ultimately, he is judged by how he plays.
McManaman’s advice for Alexander Arnold
The former Liverpool midfielder also suggests that Alexander Arnold should quickly settle off the pitch and allow him to focus on football as he finds a home.
“The only thing I say is to settle down quickly. You can find a place to live. The last thing you want is to spend months in a hotel where you live off your suitcase,” he added.
“You need a real home, a base, a place to sleep well and focus on your workouts, and the last thing is to spend months in a hotel with suitcases everywhere.
During his stay in Liverpool, England International was considered a world-class player. There is no doubt that he is an incredible talent, and he is ultimately assumed to be good at a Spanish club.
