It’s hard to predict where the Memphis Grizzlies will be on the current roster.
Despite finishing the 2024-25 NBA season with a 48-34 record, the Memphis Grizzlies faced the exit for the first round during the playoffs.
That wasn’t a surprising result, especially given the Grizzlies’ decision to hire Thomas Isalo as head coach in just nine games in the regular season.
The 2025-26 NBA season will serve as a litmus test for Iisalo’s coaching features. But for that to happen, the Grizzlies front office needs to provide him with a talented roster.
There’s no doubt that Ja Morant will remain an important Grizzlies superstar during the 2025-26 NBA season. The real task is to surround Morant with a talented supporting cast.
The Grizzlies attempted to tackle that by trading with Orlando Magic veteran Sharpshooter Kentabio Scaldwell Pope.
That said, here are other additions and re-signs that the Grizzlies announced ahead of next season.
- Kentavia Scaldwell Pope (trade from Orlando Magic)
- Ty Jerome (signed 3-year contract)
- Jock Landale (signs private transactions)
- Jaren Jackson Jr. (re-signed 5-year contract)
- Cam Spencer (re-signed 2-year contract)
- Santi Aldama (re-signed 3-year contract)
KCP trading is the biggest addition to the roster. After all, the 32-year-old security guard won two NBA championships (the 2020 LA Lakers and the 2023 Denver Nuggets).
Caldwell-Pope veteran leadership will certainly prove worthy for the Grizzlies core, who has suffered two first exits over the past three years.

After an even more overwhelming postseason, the Grizzlies Top Brass finally decided to shake things up with the roster.
It included ways to say goodbye to multiple players. The most notable departure was Desmond Bain’s departure, where he was traded for magic.
With that move in mind, here are all the players who don’t become members of the Grizzlies.
- Desmond Bain (Trades with Orlando Magic)
- Cole Anthony (waived after trading from Orlando Magic)
- Jay Huff (trade with the Indiana Pacers)
- Luke Kennard (remained as a free agent)
- Pull insion (abandoned)
Bane has been a member of the team for the past five seasons, and fans will certainly miss that familiar face in the Grizzlies lineup for the 2025-26 season.
