The Minnesota Timberwolves are linked to the movements of the free agency superstar.

After losing in the Western Conference Finals to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Minnesota Timberwolves tried to re-sign existing players to keep the roster intact.

However, the Timberwolves lost Nickaire Alexander Walker as they signed with the Atlanta Hawks in a four-year, $62 million deal.

His absence will be felt on the backcourt as he not only provided points from the bench, but he is also a great defender.

However, teams are expected to make a move to fill the gap, and according to senior NBA insider Mark Spears, they may be interested in introducing famous free agents.

Among the many big moves in free agency, Damien Lillard, abandoned by the Milwaukee Bucks, ranks there.

He was injured by Achilles’ injury and put pressure on them, so the Bucks decided to waive Lillard’s contract to promote Miles Turner’s move.

The point guard is expected to spend quite a bit of time, but upon his return, Spears tilted the Timberwolve to the side to add him to their roster.

Regarding the potential move, Spears said:

“Imagine getting boost Minnesota. Imagine Mike (Conley) coming behind him. That could be big.”

Spears also nominated Lillard’s former team, Portland Trail Blazers, as one of the wild cards in motion for him.

Teams such as the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers also competed on Lillard’s list of potential landing sites.

Being a free agent means that once he returns to the game, Lillard can almost sign any team.

When he wanted a move away from the Trail Blazers, Lillard wanted to get into the Miami heat, but failed to reach the deal due to complications between the two franchises.

But the power is now in Lillard’s hands and he can go anywhere if the team has the cap space to pay for his contract.

Lillard is a great player who can score at a high level. He averaged 24.9 points per game with a solid 37.6 shooting percentage last season, making him a perfect fit for any team.

Taking a player with a history of injury can be challenging for a team, but many put it at risk for those with Lillard credentials.

He is a proven goal scorer and can shoot the ball well. Both are qualities that every team needs to win a championship.
