A day after the team made their team debut by recalling right-handed pitcher Julian Fernandez, the are retreating him and calling on right-handed reliever Alexis Diaz to do the same.

Additionally, the have a right-handed pitcher Landonnack on their taxi team. Teams can call him before Wednesday’s match if they need some degree behind Tyler Glasnow, who will pitch for the first time at the big league level since late April.
Diaz, 28, struggled with the Cincinnati Reds and was relegated to the minor leagues before being bought by the in late May.
The former All-Star Reliever has been the shell of his former self for the past few seasons, and the wanted to revive his career.
In his six appearances at Triple A Oklahoma City, Diaz didn’t turn things around accurately, earning a 9.64 ERA in 4.2 innings. Nevertheless, the wanted to give him a shot at the MLB level, so we’ll see if he fixed some of the issues that bothered his final season with the Reds.
manager Dave Roberts said on Tuesday that Triple A’s report on Diaz was fine, but the orders were inconsistent. He was watching a walk up to just three strikeouts.
For Fernandez, he allowed two runs to win in two innings on Monday night. Now he’s back in the minor leagues.
