Los Angeles reliever Michael Kopeck has been moved to the 60-day injury list on surprising developments.
Kopech was previously placed in IL for 15 days on July 1 due to inflammation in his right knee, retroactively until June 28th, with an injury that was not expected to keep him out for a long time.
Currently, Kopech is not eligible to return to early days until late August.
Kopech was moved to the 60-day IL, creating room for revitalized All-Star right-hander Tyler Glasnow from the injured list. Right-handed Alexis Diaz chose Triple A Oklahoma City.

From the moment Kopech arrived last season, a trade deadline agreement with the Chicago White Sox proved he was not one of the ‘ best bailouts, but one of the most terrifying bullpen arms in the majors.
Since his trade, Kopech has unleashed a 1.13 ERA in 24 appearances. His ERA+ in the second half of the season was an unrealistic 359, and he ranks 259% higher than the qualified rescuer.
His advantage took over into the postseason, allowing him to throw 10 strikeouts in many appearances, allowing him to win three times to help raise the trophy of the eighth commissioner in franchise history.
Unfortunately, Kopech was on the list of injuries sustained during spring training due to a right shoulder collision, but the season debuted this June. The won all eight games featuring Kopech as they didn’t allow right-handers to run in 2025, but he’s now back on the shelf for a long time.
The starting pitcher will turn the relief bar from Longview, Texas, and do what he can to recover from knee complications and will return to the team for the most important stretch of the year, if possible.
