A few days later, the claimed that Robinson had turned off the exemption and served as the backup catcher for the Triple A. After the aforementioned injuries, Robinson made his first appearance in the Big League on Monday.

Earlier this month, a few days before the Rush injury, manager Dave Roberts detailed what he wanted to see from the rookie backstop.
“For me, I want to see a consistent at-bat. I think sometimes he’s too big on his swing. He tries to do too much. He has to realize that his role is that hitting at the bottom of the order is not slug.
He’s back on the team and October is just around the corner, so there’s no time to step up than he is now.
