The New York Knicks may have logjams at their guard spots, but Miles McBride will not be traded anytime soon.
The New York Knicks are ready and ready to compete in the NBA Championship next season. After a transformative summer, blue and orange men are rarling to go.
Despite Josh Hart getting injured and fouled out of the game, the preseason opening game in Abu Dhabi was a positive experience.
Mitchell Robinson blew the Knicks fans out with his strong outing. The changes that Mike Brown has brought to the Knicks are beginning to show.
However, their new roster is very heavy in the guard spot, so the Knicks are considering swapping some stars. Luckily for Miles McBride, he is not on the trade bloc yet.
Ian Begley has reported following the New York Knicks’ preseason victory over Abu Dhabi’s Philadelphia 76ers.
When it comes to Miles McBride’s future, Begley pointed out that the Knicks have no intention of trading McBride, and he hopes he will be the cornerstone of this roster.
“The Knicks really value McBride and we believe that key stakeholders need a fifth-year security guard on the roster to achieve their goals.
“The conflicting teams are actually hoping to make McBride available to the Knicks, the 25-year-old is in their second year of a three-year, $13 million extension.
“He is highly regarded by multiple teams around the league, and his production, age and contract status are all attractive.
“The Knicks appreciate him and are not entertaining the offer to trade at this point, according to people familiar with the matter.”
The New York Knicks were extremely active this summer, signing Jordan Clarkson, Gershon Jabselle and Malcolm Brogdon for free agency.
Brogdon and Clarkson will join Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride and Tyler Kolek to create a depth of guard. Instead of McBride, Tyler Collect was able to trade this season.
Knicks’ current salary is expected to exceed $200 million next season, making it one of the most expensive aspects of the NBA.
James Dolan, the owner of the infamous frug lol, will hope for a championship as a return on his side.
